Tonight we visited Frogbottom Field and Firefly Wood (aka Rod and Cindy Larson's house) to hear this year's Christmas story. Every year she chooses a special Christmas book and decorates her house along the theme. In the front yard (Firefly Wood) Santa's crashed sleigh and two reindeer welcomed us to their home.
Inside, the sleeping sheep of Frogbottom Field snoozed beneath a tree all alight with firefly lanterns. There was even a frog making a snow angel.
The Ponds and the Bentons enjoyed the story with us. Then Cindy served hot cider and a lot of delicious Christmas treats on snowflake plates. Here's Nathan Benton showing off the "Russell the Sheep" ornament we each received to remind us of the magic of Christmas.
We spent the last two days wrapping, wrapping, wrapping.
Only 7 days 'til Christmas. :)

That's funny. Dylan told me this morning that there were only 5 days until Christmas by his paper-chain count. Maybe he tore off a couple of links when I wasn't looking. . .
